      H/OCA Meet Cake!

      On June 26-28, the Hurst Olds Club of America held it's 14th Annual National Meet in Kansas City. Rick Barrett & Chuck Boeshaar did a great job of hosting the Nationals in Kansas, and the day at the 1/8 mile drag strip was enjoyed by everyone.

      Top eliminator Allan Hulet received a 1st place gift certificate. 2nd place gift certificate was awarded to Doug Emmons. 3rd place - Mark Kochs, and 4th place - Jerry Schwartz.

      Quickest reaction time - Aron Greisinger with a perfect .500 light in his 1984 H/O.

      Fastest elapsed time (ET) - Tom Sheehan did the 1/8 mile in 8.1 seconds in his 1969 H/O.


      Awards

      Long Distance -Jeffrey Ivener drove 1340 miles from Phoenix, Arizona in his 1968 H/O!

      Hursty - This prestigious award goes to Bruce Whitaker (a.k.a. Glenda the Good Warlock) who entertained and amused us with his Wizard of Oz props!

      Hard Luck - The unfortunate recipient of this award was Jerry Korff. After experiencing distributor problems, he had to walk for help and eventually have his 1988 Aero car towed for repairs.

      Free night stay - Shawn Evans
